This was a four week, 2,000 kilometer solo ride (Tom) in Thailand and Cambodia. I first cycled out of Bangkok during a week day rush hour (an experience not for the faint of heart) before getting into the wide shouldered rural roads of Thailand. I crossed into Cambodia near Pailin (the last redoubt of the Khmer Rouge). From Pailin I headed north to Batambang where I caught a river ferry to the Tonle Sap, near Siem Riep. After touring Angkor Wat for a couple of days, I cycled back through Sisophon and crossed back into Thailand and cycled north to Chiang Mai. At Chaing Mai, I caught an overnight train back to Bangkok.
